Mrs. Emerling (Phys. Ed)

The month of February is national heart health month and keeping with that theme we are again participating in Jump Rope for Heart, sponsored by the American Heart Association. Hopefully, you have received a form for donations from your child(ren), if not the main office has extras. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Last year our goals was $250. I am proud to report we surpassed that goal last year by leaps and bounds and raised an amazing $1506 dollars. Thank you in advance for any donations you can give. The deadline for donations is February 16th.

Jump rope week with take place right before February break and I hope students continue to shine with some of their amazing jump roping talents. I am going to keep track of who has the highest continuous jumps with the jump rope. This was a big hit last year so I can't wait to see how we do this year. I love that the American Heart Association promotes jump roping for heart because it is an amazing cardiovascular workout to say in the least!

After Jump rope week will begin parachute, scooter, fitness stations and floor hockey activities (dependent on grade level). I hope to get all the students moving around in P.E. to alleviate some of the cabin fever during the winter and early spring months.
