What is Montessori?

The Montessori Philosophy of Education believes that each individual child is unique and is the center of his/her environment.

Children between the ages of three and six can pick up knowledge and understanding effortlessly, joyfully, and spontaneously. Dr. Montessori discovered that during these years there are sensitive periods when the child shows an unusual ability to acquire particular skills compared to any other time in his life.

Dr. Montessori believes that children are best able to comprehend their environment in hands-on ways with immediate personal contact. The classroom is scaled to a child’s size and geared to his or her inner needs. Age appropriate activities are prepared to enrich the learning environment so that the child has the freedom to choose what work will be done. Emphasis is placed on creating a lifelong learner. The teacher is an enthusiastic guide in each child’s progress.

What make Montessori superior to other Pre-K programs?

Our program is well-rounded  and designed to develop the child’s intellectual, critical thinking, problem-solving, social, creative,  and emotional skills – all in a spiritually enriching environment.  Your child will work independently and cooperatively at their own pace.

Your child will learn to adapt to our changing world by making decisions,  trying new things, becoming problem-solvers, managing their time, developing good communication skills, confidence and optimism.  No other Pre-K program offers all this.
